7 continents, one problem, Global Warming. I know you’ve already heard this word. And we all know that this is a serious problem. Global Warming is composed of Greenhouse gasses which contains of carbon dioxide. Everyone of us contribute on Global Warming. Many human activities involved in this problem. Like those smoke belching cars, combustion of fossil fuels, using of such electricity and many more. We can feel now the result of it. It has effect on the water, land and air. In water, one of this is coral bleaching. It means that the colors of the corals are disappearing. It is because of the Global Warming. When the corals bleached,coral bleaching it will take months or maybe years to recover. Second effect is the melting of the polar caps. Once the polar caps melt, the the water increases. And when this happen the people living nearby the sea may experience flood. Third effect is the water became acidic. When water absorb the chemicals the chemicals turn into acid. It can harm the aquatic ecosystem. Fourth is the coastal erosion. I watched a documentary which tackles about Global Warming. There is a portion there that studies the effects of the Global Warming on the water and land. Coastal erosion is one of the effects featured. They showed a coastal land with measures about 36 meters but because of coastal erosion, the land that measure 36 meters is now 3 meters. On land, one effect is the spreading of tropical diseases like malaria, dengue fever, scabies and many more. In the way our weather changes, it is not possible to have that kinds of diseases. Many people living in the mountains and the ethnic tribes are affected by this problems. And because they lack money, they cannot go to the nearest hospital and buy medicines. So they only cure their diseases means of herbal medicines and some tribal ritual. The government lack attention on the peoples who live in mountains and also the ethnics. That is why the peoples in the tribe suffer and unfortunately die. Second is the effect of the extreme heat. Which cause wildfires. Wildfire cause destruction on the forest’s ecosystem and can also destroy some houses and other structures. This make the animals living there, nowhere to live. Extreme heat cause a land to be dry. And this affects on the production of some agricultural products like rice, corn, wheat, and the like. It may cause a shortage to a country whose staple food is relying on the agricultural products. And in air, it causes some catastrophic disaster. Like strong storms, hurricane, and also a big whirlwind. Which causes destruction of structures and deaths of several peoples. We can do something about it. Even a small child can help preventing Global Warming. Even a small act helps great. Even turning off an electrical appliance when not in use, recycling some useful materials can help us fight global warming. There are now some some inventions and research that can help us to fight Global Warming. There renewable energies which are more environment friendly like Biofuels, Biomass, Geothermal, Hydro power, Solar power, Tidal power, Wave power, Wind power. With the use of these we can make our planet greener. Remember that all of us contribute on the Global Warming, and we are the one who will be the most affected. And only us can solve this problem.

Rice is our staple food. We Filipinos are fond of eating rice. Every time I take my meal the rice is always there. Every time I’ll eat outside the house there is rice. Every time there is a special event there is the rice in my plate. But now that they say there is a rice shortage, could we carry the rising price of our major needs especially rice. As a kid I can sense what are the problems in my surroundings. Financial problems, Personal problems, Emotional problems and the like. But a rice shortage, its a serious problem. In the past few years we do not encounter a kind of problem like this. Because there are many rice farms in those years. There are plenty of rice that time, and its price is low. But now look, those farms that was being used to supply our rice. They are replaced by high-rise buildings, malls, factories, condominiums and many othert establishments. That made our rice productions lower. While surfing the net I found this story. There was a farmer with his wife and 3 children. The farmer only earn enough to supply their needs every day. During their past few years, they can buy rice that costs only cheap. But as the time passes by, the amount of their regular rice goes higher and higher. Until they were forced to buy NFA rice. One day as the farmer’s wife gone to the market, as she arrives she seen that there were no NFA rice anymore that was being sold. So she decided to buy a commercial rice. She was shocked when she look anywhere in the market she couldn’t find any store where she can buy commercial rice. She asked one of the seller why that they don’t have any more rice, and the seller said ” because when there were no more stock of NFA rice the people forced to buy commercial rice”. She thought that her neighbor could have rice and please her if she could borrow some. And then she came on the house of their neighbor. But they have also the same problem. Her neighbor doesn’t have rice for their meal the next day. They also gone to their other neighbors but their neighbor’s rice is only enough for them. And they both go home sad. The couples asked what to do. They planned that they will prepare many “ulam” so that they could replace their rice with the use of that. The morning came, they were starting to eat their breakfast. The oldest of their child said “Wow! Chicken, but mom where’s our rice?”. This story tells us a story of a typical family who eats rice every meal that they have. I already noticed its effects. Like one of the restaurant, that we were always there when we want to eat outside the house to have our dinner. There is a promo there “Free extra rice”. But now, since the rice increase its price the restaurant cannot handle that promo anymore. If I could only pass a law which states that there should be only selected areas that are allowed to be build by any establishment(s) and there will be areas that will remain the same as the people knew it. Like in provinces, farms should not be allowed to be replaced by any structure. And the government will declare areas that buildings or any establishments are allowed to be built. So that we can remain the balance of a newly industrialized country and an agrarian country.

With the help of Friendster I found some of my old friends. Fourth, Friendster helps you to express your thoughts and idea. Fifth, you can make your profile restricted from messaging and make your profile private. Signing up is also simple. Its just like other Internet social network systems out there. They will of course send you an e-mail. One of the uses of Friendster is dating. I know some of the people who uses in Friendster in dating. And the eventually they become real lovers. You can also connect to your schoolmates using Friendster. Friendster allows you to create a blog. You can post a bulletin to show what have you got to your friends. Application that was being added to the Friendster was made more cool and enjoyable for us. You can trace the people who visited your profile. Searching for something like friend, featured fans, groups, highschool or college name is very fast and very easy. I also noticed that there are many advertisement on the site. You can also block a user from viewing your site. The site also offers fast and comprehensive customer support and is definitely easy to use. For A long time user like me should have many friends at this time. I started using Friendster since 2004 but see I have only 115 friends. It is free so come on join the community.

Going to El Nido, Palawan, Philippines? I’ve got the website that will guide you. My brother (who developed the site) gave me the opportunity to do this as my first project. He create the site and I am the one who get all the details needed for such category. Such as transportation, beach cottages, hotels, souvenir shop, resorts, restaurants and many more. If you have time, come and visit our site to view some cool places in El Nido. Any way I am here to tell you how my experience in that project run (and to invite you in our site of course). Well I started to do that project in the last quarter of March. At first its very hard and also confusing. But then when I started to review some of the basics of this project, it enables me to understand this more. On my first day, my brother lets me to read the book about “The Essential Blender” (its not a typical meaning of blender, its a 3d animation maker). Then on our 2nd day I’ve finally viewed the website for the first time. My brother told me to find any establishment on El Nido related to any of the categories. There are some articles written there but its only 5 articles. I started to accomplish the beach cottages, for the first look you can say it is easy, just copy all the details needed, but it is not. Why? Because you’ll need to gather the details, find images, and finally to resize the image. Its very hard to resize an image. Its very confusing. But the hardest part of that is having a multi-task. Because every 50 or 30 minutes the administrator site will automatically logout. That’s why its hard. Every time I’m working with many things like finding details, gathering images, resizing images, saving the resized image, posting all the details and also including the pictures, going to forums, and also logging in every time The admin site will logout. But until the time pass it made me more easier to do that all things. I took 3 weeks to finish all the article. And now it was successful. I’ve already posted around 70 articles. iPod touch just look similar to an iPhone. Of course it performs iPod functions like play music, watch video and many other. There are only two buttons, switch/power button and the Home button. And the other commands will be enabled with the use of the multi-touch screen. Because of its 480×320 feature, you can view a picture or a video in a good way. It contains, i-Tunes Wi-Fi store. i-Tunes store show only “featured and “top ten”. The photo browser, every time you browse a picture you will see first the album from which is the picture located. Then you’ll see thumbnails of the photos. As you click your photo it’ll look great because of the iPod touch’s screen. The video player plays with a good quality. The sound is good for video playing. The music player has two distinct mode. The CoverFlow and the List view. There is a Safari Browser on the iPod touch. But not the same  as on your Mac. It lacks Flash and support on Java applets. There is also a Youtube application. Like in Safari it has also bookmarks and history. And has search and feature selections like in iTunes. And if you that’s all, no it has more application. Like a Calculator, World Clock, Stopwatch, Timer and Alarm, Calendar and Contacts. iPod Touch is compatible on a 3.5mm stereo plugs. Of all the feature of an iPod Touch, I like most is its multi-touchscreen. Why because it’s very easy to use. And that multi-touch screen feature can be a great deal on the future of every gadget. Look on the some of the latest iPod releases of the apple the iPhone and the iPhone Touch. Isn’t they are multi-touch screen operated (except for the external buttons). On its application, I’d like most is the Safari Browser. Even though it lack some other mac features, its very cool to have a browser on your gadget and also a Wi-Fi iTune store. Oops I forgot the price of the iPod touch is ranging from, $299 and $399.

I know that everyone of us has their own must haves. When I was kid (at age of 4-7) I’ve always wanted to have a remote controlled airplane. When I was at 10 one of my must have is to have my 1st new cellphone. But now at the age of 12, my must have is an Apple iPhone. I know its to expensive for me to handle that kind of gadget. But if I had that gadget, I will take care of it. Just like treating it as my baby. Of couse iPhone is a some kind of Ipod. But iPhone can call, write messages, and it can browse the internet. An iPhone is also a touchscreen gadget. Does your ordinary Ipod do that of things. One of it’s cool feature is that it is slim. Imagine walking down the streets, using your iPhone isn’t it thats cool? I’ve been wondering myself bringing that stuff on school (but I know it will never happen because bringing of gadget in school is not allowed). Another thing because it’s a touchscreen gadget, it does not need more buttons to click into. The iPhone has only one button. How could you write if it has only one button? Its easy, because it’s a touchscreen there is a on-screen keypad. Don’t worry the keypad is easy to manipulate. Just tap the on-screen keypad with your finger. iPhone does offer a Wi-Fi support, and a Bluetooth connectivity. Aside from messaging, it has also e-mail. Isn’t it that iPhone is multi-functional? You can activate the YouTube player, Apple iPhone comes with the Safari Web browser, Apple iPhone has a built-in Google Maps application, Visual voice mail and many more. Capture moments, iPhone got it don’t worry, iPhone has 2 mega-pixel camera on the back. So why not convince your parents to buy you a cool stuff like this. I’ll try to buy this kind of stuff.

Who knows Bleach? I am talking about the Japanese manga series. If you read the information on about me, you will see that Bleach is included in my details there (if you didn’t read that, it’s alright). But for those who read it thanks I hope you like it. They already know that BLEACH is my favorite manga series. You might say why I’d like it? My answer is that BLEACH has a good story, cool characters and many other awesome features. For the main characters of Bleach I like the character of Ichigo Kurosaki. With his orange hair, tough look guy, cool zanpakuto, cool clothes, and his fight scenes with his enemies makes him really cool. Every time he will fight an enemy he always prove that tough guy thing. If am right his zanpakuto (swords of a shinigami) is Zangetsu. He became a substitute shinigami. Of course we should not forget the other main cast of BLEACH. Lets talk about Rukia Kuchiki. She is a beautiful girl, and she has awesome fighting technique. She has brother, Byakuya Kuchiki, (his brother-in-law). She met Ichigo when she appeared on Ichigo’s bed and she is severely wounded by a “hollow”(evil spirit). To protect Ichigo and his family, she transferred half of her power to Ichigo. Unfortunately, Ichigo almost got the power of Rukia. Rukia’s zanpakuto is Sode No Shirayuki. She is a shinigami of the 13th division. And because of transferring of her powers to Ichigo, she breaked the law of the Soul Society. And sentenced her to the penalty of death. Ichigo’s friend and classmate Orihime Inoue (Inoue for short), is a simple girl until she experience to see spirits. Inoue has a orange-brown hair. She has feelings to Ichigo. I remember that when Inoue experienced to see spirits, her first deadly encounter to them is when she was visited by his dead brother, Sora Inoue. Who became a “hollow”. But then theres Ichigo to save her from her “hollow” brother. Inoue’s weapon is the Shun Shun Rikka or the Six Flowers of the Hibiscus Shield (the clip on her head that looks like a flower). Her weapon is composed of six fairy-like creatures Tsubaki, Shun’ō, Hinagiku, Baigon, Lily, Ayame. Yasutora “Chad” Sado (Chad for short), is born in Okinawa, Japan but was brought to Mexico. And after the death of his parent he was adopted by Joaquin de la Rosa who appears to be his grandfather. His “abuelo” ( Grandfather in Spanish) gave him a coin Mexican coin to be exact. He is a tall man also and he has a great strength. His weapon is called Brazo Izquierda del Diablo. Uryu Ishida, he is a Quincy. Of course he fight “hollows” but exterminate them that make the human world unbalanced. Uryu uses a blue bow like weapon (like an archer). Uryu is a shy and quiet guy. But I bet some of you like a shy and quiet guy. Renji Abarai , has a red hair and a tattoo on his forehead and also his entire upper body. He came from the 78th district of Rukungai. He befriended Rukia Kuchiki. In the episode where the Bounts are attacking the human world, he helped his friends(Ichigo, Rukia, Orihime, Chad, Uryu) to fight them. As I have watched BLEACH, Renji and Ichigo has some ways of similarities when it comes to thier attidues like Ichigo can easily become angry like Renji’s attidue. Every time I watch BLEACH I always keep all of my work finished so that if it hits the air, there will be nothing that will disturb me watching. Wait for my next article about BLEACH, maybe it will tackle about the shinigamis in the Soul Society and the peoples who helped Ichigo and his friends to got to the Soul Society in order save Rukia from death.

This last March 20-22, 2008, we’ve been on Zambales (province of the Philippines located at Central Luzon). To be honest with you guys, at first we do not have the intention to go there. Were supposed to go to Bataan. We were supposed to be with my brothers “Ninong” but his “Ninong” cancelled our trip. On that time we already packed our luggage. We feel disappointed about that. But then suddenly an idea came to my mothers mind, she thought if we could have our clan vacation (of course with my relatives). Then she called my two aunts, Aunt Beth and Aunt Fe. They both agreed to my mothers plan. In that day, after all invitation was being send to our relatives(my mother’s relatives only), they packed their things in a hurry. We leave Manila last March19 to start our journey through Zambales. I think we traveled about 6 or 8 hours. In that period of time, I realized that its hard to sit for a long period of time. After we passed 10 municipalities, we came at the municipality of Candelaria. Why did we choose to stay there? First, it is my Uncle Romeo’s home town. And second reason, is that it is free to stay there. We came there before the sun rise. The first thing we do after we came there is prepare our foods for our day1. Some of my cousin can’t wait to take their bathe in the beach so they ran through the water. While the adults are still cooking, I find myself walking in the seashore. Its very cold that time. When our “bangka” came, we were brought to Putiput Island. I think it is being called Putiput Island because of its white sand beaches. We came there as a batch because the boat can only carry 7 or 9 passengers. I’m lucky that I was in the batch 1. We stayed at the shade of a big tree. We were like castaways After I placed my things, I run inside the water. Putiput Island has a clear-watered beaches. There are no electricity in the island. At noon time, the batch 2 came, and they brought our foods. When they came, we started to eat. Some of us ate using not their spoon and fork but their hand. It’s very a traditional way of Filipinos form of eating. And to have entertainment we started a little boxing fight. A fight between my cousin Macky and Jonathan but of course safety first. And this is only a friendly fight.(Kids don’t try this at home). And the winner is,, Macky. I toured the whole island and I found out that its hard to walk on a hot sand. Then the time past, it is time to go to the cottage. Our service(the bangka) came to fetch us. We came into the house of Uncle Romeo’s brother and his also. We eat our dinner in the house. All of us were very tired. Then I stayed in our car and wait my brother to finish his meal so that I can watch Transformers: the movie in his laptop. After watching, I go to sleep to be ready for our next adventure. Another morning had came, and another adventure awaits on the same island (Putiput Island). The adults gone to buy some ingredients in the market. Then they came an hour after I woke up. Then they start to cook our food. Then an hour after our “bangka” came. But I choose to be in batch 2. Unfortunately, when our “bangka” came, the batch2 were very overcrowded. So we choose to be in the batch 3. When we came there we changed our place to stay. Were still beside a tree but a different tree. Because there is someone else in our place were we used to be in day 1. I don’t take a bathe fast I waited the sun to set. To prevent sunburn. To entertain myself I borrowed my Uncle’s mp4. A strange sea-creature appeared in our place. It is slimy, flexible, and disgusting. It looks like a leech but a bigger one. At first I thought that it was a sea-snake. And I also found a seahorse. And because its our last day in the island, we took some pictures, as a souvenir. We try to tour the island again but we failed, why ? Because it time for us to leave the island. Again we ate our dinner in the same house. Before we totally go home, we go to a “perya”. But we didn’t stay there too long. Because we might go any time that night. But we go home in the early morning. About 1:00am we started our journey to our way home. That ends our Zambales escapade 2008.

Why do you need to ask Google? That is the question. All of us know that Google is a kind of a search engine. And it is a very popular kind of a search engine in our place. Google contains informations, and other useful articles that we might need in order to find something on the web. Google’s main purpose is to make peoples way of searching easier. Asking Google is very useful, convenient, and Google is also a User-friendly site. Useful because every article, information, photos, images, and so on are easily tracked by Google. And when the time came, that you’ll need those information. You’ll just search it in the Google. And now that’s what I say useful. Convenient, because it saves time and saves effort. I myself proved that thing. When I have a project that needed to find in the internet, I usually ask Google For a help. Then after the Google search was finished, I found plenty of things that can help me finish my project. Think about this, which is more faster way to search? Reading book to book. Or just search in the internet. Of course you will prefer to search on the internet. Because can you imagine if you’ll research on the books it’ll cost you more time and more effort. While if you search on the internet, you can save time. And it’ll be faster for you to find a result (but if your connection is slow, maybe try to have more patience but anyway it doesn’t matter now, what matter is you find a result faster even though your connection is fast or not).Then the last one is Google is a user-friendly site. Why did I say that? Because Google easy as 1,2,3. You’ll just enter the URL, enter the article, click on which result which do you prefer. Then after all of that procedures, you are now brought to the site you’ve searched and chosen. See I told you it was easy as 1,2,3. Now try it. See for yourself. In some times you may not ask Google always. You can ask many different kind of search engine. For example, Ask.com, MSN search, and so on. But for me I prefer to use Google.

During my freshmen or 1st year high school I really realize what does it really feels to be a high school student. At our first day, I saw some of the old faces, like my classmates. And I also saw other new faces, like some of my classmates, and some of our teachers. On our 1st or 2nd quarter our adviser is Ms Clare. She has a strong personality. And at your first glance at her you might say that she is strict. I admit she is strict , but if you really know her true personality she is not very strict at all. Our teacher in mathematics is Mrs. Siete. She is very good in teaching Algebra, through her I knew some of the basics in Algebra. Our teacher in Filipino is Ms. Clamor. She is very joyful teacher. She teach us Filipino and Ibong Adarna. She brought our ordinary Filipino words in a deeper way. Our teacher in TLE is Sir. Ryan. He is a strict teacher. When it comes to being serious, you might think he is always serious. But if you knew him, he has a funnier side. Which makes him cool. Our teacher in MAPEH during our 1st and 2nd quarter is Ms Clare(who was our adviser that time). She teaches good because when she starts to discuss in front of my other classmate all of us will surely listen. But she stops teaching because of some kind of an illness that could affect her teaching career including teaching lessons about P.E. Then our teacher in the rest of the end of the school year in MAPEH and the one who stands as our adviser is Ms Ruth . She is also a cheerful person, that when it comes to jokes she will laugh. But in times of being serious she is always serious. Our teacher in Science is Ms. Gupit. She has the humor to make her students laugh. She is my favorite teacher in high school. Her schedule to us is (Science > Break >Science). Of all the teachers she is the one who has the longer period to stay in our room. Our teacher in Social Studies from 1st up to 3rd quarter is Mrs. Rosario. She is another of my teacher who is a strict one. But she stop teaching us. And leave until the end of our school year. But Mrs.Gupit was the one in charge to teach us about Social Studies. Our teacher in English is Mrs. Mary Ann. She gave high score to all of us even though some of my classmates don’t listen to her sometimes. Our teacher in Computer is my Mrs.Elizabeth, she actually treat us like her child. She teach us Microsoft Powerpoint. A very useful application on our computer. And not but the least is our teacher in Values Education, Mrs Bernadette. Among the teacher of mine she is the one whom I treated as my bestfriend. We have fun telling some stories. And I forgot to tell you, in the middle of 3rd Quarter period she represent to be our adviser before Ms Ruth. And before Mrs. Gupit became our social teacher, Mrs. Bernadette stands to be our teacher in Social Studies after Mrs. Rosario leave. In our school we’ve got lots of activities One of the most unforgettable activity in my freshmen days is our first Drama Festival in our high school life.
